More exotic than cowhide, you'll find the famous crocodile, alligator and ostrich leathers. Often high-end, these belts with exotic leathers are not easily affordable for the budget.
Other materials for belt straps
The canvas: The canvas can be used for belt straps, and will generally be associated with a boxed loop for closure.
Ropes: Originally reserved for a water sports population, ropes are not the most common belts.
Vinyl: Inexpensive, and sometimes extravagant colors, this material can be used for belt straps.

Maybe you are wondering how to know your waistband? There are actually three ways to determine your waistband, so it's up to you to decide which one is right for you:

How does one measure one's waistband with a sewing tape?
If you have a sewing ribbon at home, we advise you to pick it up. This is a very accurate method for determining your belt size. To do this, simply measure your waist and your hip. These two measures are not mandatory, and only one may be sufficient. It all depends on your body type and your pants model. If you are wearing waist-down pants, then hips measurement is more important in determining the size of your belt.
How to use the size of his old belt to choose the size of the new?
If you do not have enough measurement of your waist, the most common method is to determine the size of your new belt with the old one. For that, you just have to measure the hole of perforation where you usually place the tooth of the buckle of your belt. Then you just need to find a strap size of your new belt nearest.
When you put on your belt, there will be a "surplus" of webbing called the "end" of the belt. For formal outfits, and therefore leather belts, we advise you to have too long end length, because it will likely hang and therefore be disharmonious.
